The Black Enlightenment is a philosophy and way of life — a framework that anyone can personally commit to and adopt.
The Black Enlightenment Society, by contrast, is the formal organization that exists to support, coordinate, and accelerate this work. It brings together individuals and local groups who have chosen to adopt the framework in order to collaborate, build institutions, and expand the impact of the movement.
At the same time, the Society serves as a hub for Black men and women across the country who are already taking action — or preparing to take action — in one of the four domains.
